The Stone Memorial High School basketball teams played their homecoming games Friday night as they entertained Macon County. The Lady Panthers posted a win over the Tigerettes 59-51. The Panthers ran their District record to 11 and 0 and wrapped up the regular season District title, with an 84-29 victory over the Macon County Tigers. Tuesday, 2/7, SMHS will step outside the District as they host Clarkrange. The action will air live on Mix 99.3.
Cumberland County High School traveled to Upperman for a District basketball doubleheader on Friday. Game one saw the Lady Jets drop a 10-point decision to the Lady Bees, 61-51 the final. In the final game of the night the Bees outscored the Jets 56-41. Tuesday, 2/7, Cumberland County returns to action playing host to DeKalb County. Live coverage will air on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
