Crossville City Council approves amendments to Village Inn purchase contract

The Crossville City Council, in special session on Tuesday, voted to approve an amended contract to purchase the Village Inn. Changes included requiring the seller be responsible for eviction of tenants as well as an increase in the purchase price to $465,000. City Attorney Randy York said that within fifteen days after the last tenant leaves the utilities would be turned off and the council would be expected to approve the 3^rd reading of budget amendments finalizing the purchase. York also noted that it is his understanding that tenants have until February 15^th to vacant.
