The report on the investigation into last year’s closing of the Village Inn will remain confidential. Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford initially requested discussion on making the findings of the report public, however, he pulled the item from Tuesday’s agenda on the advice of the city attorney. The Crossville City Council hired an out of town law firm last year to investigate the events that led to the temporary closing of the Village in last July. Since the report was compiled by a law firm, the findings fall under the protections of attorney-client privilege. City Attorney Randy York advised the council to keep it confidential.
