The 2022-23 High School Wrestling season came to a close on Saturday evening as State Champions were crowned for Division I AA, A, and Girls. SMHS & CCHS, being apart of Division I A, sent a combined 8 wrestlers to the state tournament. Out of the 8 wrestlers Jaelyn Patton from SMHS took home a medal. She was scheduled to wrestle for 5th or 6th place Saturday morning however, had to Medically Forfeit after re-injuring her elbow the night before. This makes Patton a two time State Medalist and Jaelyn and her sister Paige have tied the most wins in a season record by a Girls Wrestler for Stone Memorial with 27 wins a piece this season.
