One person died following a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Highway 127 North in Cumberland County. The THP said the deceased, 74-year-old David Garrett, was a passenger in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. According to reports, 77-year-old Francis Smallwood was driving south in a 2021 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck when she lost control in the rain and crossed the center line into the northbound lane and into the path of the Toyota. Mr. Garrett died from injuries sustained in the collision, which also injured the driver of the Toyota and another passenger. Smallwood and a passenger in the Dodge were also hurt in the crash.
