Crossville City Manager, Greg Wood, in his monthly report to council on Tuesday, announced almost $1.2 million in sales tax collections for the latest period. A 15 percent increase from the previous year. The average inflation rate for the same period was reported at 6.5 percent. Receipts from the wholesale beer tax remained steady at almost $54,000, while collections from the hotel occupancy tax are at an all time high for the year to date at just under $154,000.
