Oh how sweet it is! The Tennessee Volunteers continue to dance in March as the Vols advance to the Sweet 16 after defeating the Duke Blue Devils. The Tennessee Volunteers came into the Round of 32 game as a 4 seed with Duke as a 5 seed however the Vols were a 3.5 point underdog against the historic blue blood program. In the second half of the game Oliver Nkamhoua had a career game to help UT advance 65-52.
Nkamhoua was the leading scorer for Tennessee with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Santiago Vescovi was able to pick up 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Duke had three players score in double digits. Kyle Filipowski and Jeremy Roach with 13 and Tyrese Proctor with 16 points.
Tennessee advances to the Sweet 16 in New York City. Vols will play on Thursday, March 23rd. The Vols will be taking on the winner of Florida Atlantic and Fairleigh Dickinson. Coverage will be heard on 102.5 WOW Country.
