The Cumberland County Commission has passed a Resolution to create a Codes Department for residential and commercial building code inspections in Cumberland County. Since they were first implemented, the City of Crossville has conducted building code inspections for the County. Now the County will have its own Codes Department. If agreeable with the City of Crossville, the transition will take place on January 1, 2024. The resolution was approved 14-1 with 8th District Commissioner Greg Maxwell voting against the measure.
