Older Tenants In Tennessee Could Get 90 Days Notice If Lease Not Renewed

Lawmakers in Tennessee are considering a law that would require landlords to give those age 62 and older at least 90 days notice if their lease is not renewed.  Currently landlords must give any tenant at least 30 days notice.  The bill to extend the noticey passed the House unanimously on Monday and is heading to the Senate.  The measure is an effort to reduce homelessness in Tennessee’s elderly population.
