Body Of Missing Person Found In Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The body of a missing person was found Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  The deceased was discovered near the Low Gap Trail in Cosby, Tennessee.  The person is believed to have been missing for about a week and over 100 people assisted in the search last weekend.  The body was sent to the Cocke County Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification and cause of death.  Officials said foul play is not suspected.
