Apr 20, 2023 | 5:14 PM

GOP lawmaker Scotty Campbell, of Johnson County, resigned from the Tennessee House of Representatives on Thursday (4/20/23).  The reason for his resignation is unclear but it comes after The Workplace Discrimination & Harassment Subcommittee sent a  Memorandum to House Speaker Cameron Sexton on March 29, 2023.  The Ethics Subcommittee, which did not release details on its investigation into a complaint, did find Representative Campbell violated the Workplace Discrimination & Harassment policy.   Campbell represented House District 3 in northeast Tennessee, which includes Johnson and parts of Carter, Hawkins and Sullivan counties.
