The Cumberland County Playhouse has received $500,000 in state funding. Senator Paul Bailey joined Speaker Cameron Sexton, Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, and Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford for a $500,000 check presentation to the Playhouse. On his Facebook page Mayor Foster said, “Receiving this state funding will help this important part of our community continue to provide excellent entertainment, opportunities for our youth, and be one of the greatest tourism attractions in the entire state.” The Cumberland County Playhouse serves more than 145,000 visitors annually.
