Crossville Police Called To Harper Lane For Report Of Screaming Naked Man On Porch

Crossville Police were dispatched to Harper Lane around 2am Monday (5/22/23) for  a report of a naked man on the caller’s porch who was screaming and knocking on the door.  Upon arrival, police found the 34-year-old man with his pants below his ankles.  He was sweating profusely and told officers he had been bitten by a rattlesnake 40 times and that the snake’s head was still in his boot.  The man then proceeded to take his right boot and sock off to check for the snake.  Police say no snakes were found and the man did not appear to have any snake bites on his person. However, the man still insisted that snakes were on him.  The man was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center and charged with Public Intoxication and Indecent Exposure.
