Cumberland Is One Of Nine TN Counties With Clean Audits

May 24, 2023 | 9:32 AM

Once again, Cumberland County has received a clean audit report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022. Last year, Cumberland made a list of 12 counties. This year there are only 9 counties out of 95 with clean audit reports. The nine counties are Blount, Cannon, Campbell, Cumberland, Giles, Hamblen, Roane, Sevier, and Unicoi.

Calling the clean audit reports “a significant accomplishment”, Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury Jason Mumpower  announced  that all nine counties are being recognized this week at the Tennessee County Services Association Legislative Conference in Gatlinburg.

This honor is especially noteworthy for Blount, Cumberland, Giles, Roane, and Hamblen counties, which have received clean audits for two years in a row. Blount County has received a clean audit in seven of the last eight fiscal years.
