Crossville City Manager Greg Wood reported sales tax revenue at just over $1.1 million for collections in March. That’s an increase of 17% over last year. Collections from the wholesale beer tax were at just under $64,000, down from the same period last year, while liquor revenue remains down due to new calculation processes caused by an increase in county population. Income from the Hotel Occupancy Tax dipped for the latest period, but remains up for the year to date at $203,000.
