A 10-year-old boy was critically injured Wednesday morning after he was accidentally shot at a youth center in Knoxville. Authorities say a gun went off inside a 14-year-old’s backpack at the YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Center. The teen left the center and was apprehended a few blocks away and was in possession of two handguns. The 14-year-old has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment. There were over 40 children signed in at the center when the shooting occurred.
