One person was killed Friday morning (6/30/2023) and another injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 127 North at Clear Creek Bridge in Fentress County, near the Cumberland County line. It happened around 10am. According to the THP, Richard T. Grover, age 67, was driving south in a 2007 Dodge Nitro. Mason C. Bosserman, age 22, was driving a 2022 Chevy Sonic north on Highway 127. Mr. Grover was negotiating a downhill left curve when the vehicle began to rotate counterclockwise and crossed into the north lane. The Chevy struck the right middle of the Dodge. Mr. Grover died from his injuries. Mr. Bosserman was injured but the THP did not list his condition. According to the Preliminary Report, no charges are pending.
