Jul 9, 2023 | 10:35 AM

The price of first-class mail stamps rose by 3 cents on Sunday (7/9/23) to 66 cents.  Metered 1-ounce letters now cost 63 cents, up from 60 cents; domestic post cards went up from $0.48 to $0.51, and international postcards went up by a nickel to $1.50.  The US Postal Service said the increases are needed due to rising operating expenses but it still won’t be enough. According to CNN, the USPS expects to lose $4.5 billion in 2023.
