A 91-year-old man died after he was hit by an SUV Friday night in Pikeville. The THP says Eston C. Angel was crossing the street around 11pm when the accident occurred. The 20-year-old female driver immediately stopped. No charges are pending.
An 80-year-old Rhea County man died after he was hit by a car in Chattanooga Sunday night while crossing the street. According to a press release obtained by WTVC, witnesses say Jack Taylor walked directly into the path of the vehicle. It happened shortly after 9pm in the 5600 block of Brainerd Road. Mr. Taylor was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where he passed away. Police do not plan to file charges against the driver.
