Crossville Police Charge Man Found Lying In Middle Of Hwy 70 East

Crossville Police charged a man found lying in the middle of Highway 70 East early Saturday morning.  According to Officer Jacob Zimmerman’s report, shortly after 3am while on routine patrol, Officer Zimmerman came upon 36-year-old Michael Anthony Ziglar who was lying in the middle of the street. Due to the lack of light and dark clothing that Ziglar was wearing, the officer did not see him until the last second and had to perform evasive maneuvers in order to avoid hitting him.  The officer made contact with Mr. Ziglar who told him that he was trying to play a prank on his girlfriend.  The report states Ziglar said he had spent the evening drinking at a nearby bar.  Mr. Ziglar was determined to be and danger to himself and others and was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center where he was served with a warrant for Public Intoxication.
