A Nashville couple missing in Alaska for a week has been found safe. Jonas Bare, age 50, and Cynthia Hovsepian, age 37, were rescued on a hiking trail Friday. They were reported missing on August 12 after they failed to check out of their Airbnb in Fairbanks the previous day and had also left behind their personal belongings and never got on their scheduled flight home. Authorities did not immediately release details surrounding their disappearance but it’s speculated they got lost while hiking. Bare was found Friday by two hikers about 200 yards from a resort. He was able to guide rescuers to where he had left his girlfriend to get help about 3 miles up the trail.
