One person was arrested after a gang allegedly tried to take over I-24 in Nashville. The Metro Nashville Police Department said it happened Saturday near Bell Road. About 20 Dodge Chargers and other cars lined up along the interstate, then pulled out into traffic and began weaving, nearly causing multiple crashes. Police say most of the vehicles had stickers with the letters “NGE”. They stopped a gray Charger driven by 29-year-old Carl Jackson who reportedly told police “NGE” stands for “Nash Gang Elites”. Police say a search of Jackson’s vehicle revealed a ledger with membership records and monthly dues. WKRN reports Jackson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Reckless Driving, Refusing to Disperse, and Drag Racing. He was released from jail just before 3am Sunday.
