Tennessee’s dove season opens this Friday, September 1 at noon (local time) with the first of three segments running through September 28.
In addition to the start of dove season, the early season for Canada geese, brant, blue, snow, and Ross’ Geese (light geese) also starts this Friday, Sept. 1 and runs through Sept. 17.
A short crow hunting season overlaps with the opening week of dove season, Sept. 1-5.
Other bird seasons are also opening this weekend and hunters should refer to the 2023-24 Tennessee Hunting and Trapping Guide for regulations and daily bag limits, which can be found on the TWRA website in the Hunting section.
