Grand Jury To Meet Monday, October 16, 2023 In Shooting Death Of 4-Year-Old Girl In Rockwood

Ninth District Attorney General Russell Johnson says the Roane County Grand Jury will meet on Monday, October 16, 2023 on the shooting death of a 4-year-old girl in Rockwood.  It happened Sunday, August 27 when 25-year-old Breanna Gayle Runions claims she was teaching the girl about gun safety. Runions reportedly put the barrel of the gun to the little girl’s chest, and pulled the trigger, killing the child.  That same day, Runions was arrested and charged with one count of First-Degree Felony Murder and one count of Aggravated Child Abuse. Her bond was set at  $1.5 million bond.
