The Crossville City Council approved a motion to apply for a grant from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to construct a spec building. The grant would require a 5 percent match from the city that may be split with the county. The building would be constructed on Interchange Drive on a pad that was originally developed in 2017. According to Crossville City Manager Greg Wood, the building would be a shell only with no floor so as to allow a prospective buyer the option to tailor it to their needs.
