The quick actions of an area Deputy saved the life of a woman whose vehicle was submerged in a pond. According to a press release from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday night at approximately 9pm, Deputy Tony Taylor responded to a crash with injury just east of Wartburg in the area of Jess Young Road. Morgan County Sheriff Wayne Potter said, “As Deputy Taylor arrived he found the vehicle submerged in a pond just off of Highway 62.” Deputy Taylor immediately jumped into the pond and rescued the distressed female.
