Three people walked away after a FedEx plane crash landed late Wednesday night at Chattanooga Municipal Airport. The call went out around 11pm that a FedEx Boeing 757 was experiencing landing gear failure. Airport authorities, Chattanooga Fire Department, Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County EMS quickly staged in position and waited as the aircraft circled several times before making its final descent. The plane crash landed and skidded off the end of the runway. The three pilots on the aircraft were not injured and were able to climb out. There was no fire, only smoke from the engines. The plane was originally bound for the Memphis International Airport but had to turn around and make the emergency landing.
