With the chilly forecast for the next few days, many will fire up heating units, fireplaces and possibly space heaters. Crossville Fire & Rescue would like to remind everyone to check your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms if you heat with gas. Also, make sure that all combustibles are at least 3 feet away from heaters, stoves, and fireplaces. Now is the time to make sure our homes are safe from heating fires.
