City of Crossville to move forward with Village Inn demolition

The Crossville City Council has taken action to move forward with the demolition of the Village Inn. In regular session on Tuesday, the Council approved a motion by council member Mike Turner to remove as much of the stone façade from the old motel as possible. Turner added that the salvaged stone should be cleaned of mortar and stored at public works to be sold or possibly donated. Council did not reveal a time frame for the start of demolition of the building, but indicated they wanted to move forward.
