Tennessee’s Food Tax Holiday, Ends 11:59pm Tues., Oct. 31, 2023

Tennessee’s Food Tax Holiday end just before midnight Tuesday.  Food and food ingredient will still be exempt from sales tax until 11:59pm on Tuesday, October 31.  Sales of prepared food, dietary supplements, candy, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco are not included in items exempt during this period.  During the tax holiday, Tennesseans were expected to save an estimated $273 million in taxes total.
