The Wayne County School System has issued notice that it will ban any sports fan who is ejected from a game for conduct that results in a fine from TSSAA. This year, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association approved a new rule for unsportsmanlike conduct by fans. Under the rule, TSSAA can fine the school a minimum of $250. The new rule also carries the possibility of the schools athletic program being put on probation. The Wayne County School System said,”These fines are paid from funds designated to provide athletic opportunities for students. Therefore, if any spectator, whether student or adult, behaves in a manner that results in TSSAA imposing a fine on the school, then that person will be barred from attending any sporting event of the Wayne County School System until such fine has been reimbursed to the school.”
