The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department is thanking the Fairfield Glade Police Department and Corporal Wyatt for recently providing specialized training. Van Buren County Sheriff Michael Brock applied for and received a Violent Crime Intervention Fund (VCIF) grant , which allowed the sheriff’s office to purchase conductive energy devices as a less-lethal alternative, at no additional cost to the taxpayers of Van Buren county. Sheriff Brock thanks the Fairfield Glade Police Department for providing valuable training on de-escalation techniques at no-cost to the Department or officers. In response, the Fairfield Glade Police Department says they are happy to continue their partnership with agencies across the State. Officer training and staying current with modern law enforcement trends are crucial in providing professional police services. The Fairfield Glade Police Department also thanks Corporal Wyatt for his time and service in providing the specialized training.
