Fall Creek Falls Utility District Issues Boil Water Advisory

By Peg Broadcasting News Nov 28, 2023 | 5:12 PM

Residents in Bledsoe and Van Buren Counties who get their water from Fall Creek Falls Utility District are under a boil water advisory until further notice.  This is due to a pump failure and extended low pressure issues. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Fall Creek Falls Utility District says divers will arrive on Wednesday to try to repair the pump at the dam. Water may be off on Wednesday and Thursday while work is being done.  The utility is expecting to get water to distribute to customers on Wednesday and will set up pickup sites in both Bledsoe and Van Buren counties.  The utility asks everyone with family and friends in the affected areas to let them know about the boil water advisory. If you know of someone elderly who will need water and is unable to come pick some up, please let Fall Creek Falls Utility District know and they will try to get it to their homes. They expect the problem to be resolved in the next few days.
