In regular session on Tuesday, the Crossville City Council approved the terms of sale of property to Jeff Woods for 5.5 acres in Interchange Business Park. Woods had originally offered $25,000 per acre and requested a $5,000 credit for each job created by his planned expansion. Council approved the selling price of $25,000 per acre but removed the job credit option. The parcel is located on the left as you enter the City Industrial Park on Interchange Drive. In other action, the council approved a 15 year lease renewal for property visible from I-40 at the old city landfill site. The lease to Flynn Sign currently renews on an annual basis, however, the company was requesting a 15 year agreement. Council approved the request at $400 a year.
