The Tennessee Department of Health has documented the first pediatric flu death of this season. The death was reported the week of December 17 and it’s not clear how old the child was or where the death occurred. The CDC says Tennessee has one of the highest flu activity levels in the South. In addition to influenza, it’s reported that there has been an uptick in RSV and COVID-19 cases.
