Saturday two arch rivals battled in Lexington as the #5 Tennessee Volunteers took on the #10 Kentucky Wildcats. Once the ball was tipped in Rupp Arena it was all big orange as Tennessee took Kentucky wire to wire and hit the century mark defeating the Wildcats 103-92.
Zakai Zeigler set the tone for the Vols in the Bluegrass state knocking down a double-double with 26 points and 13 assists. The rest of the starting five were able to get in double digits Saturday night with Josiah-Jordan James putting up 26 points, Dalton Knetch putting down 16 points, and Santiago Vescovi and Jonas Aidoo scoring 11 points. Despite the loss one of Kentucky’s star players Rob Dillingham came off the bench and scored 35 points to lead the Wildcats.
