The Cumberland County High School Cheer Team competed in the 2024 National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL, from February 9-12. The team made it to the semifinals and will bring home a ribbon to add to their collection. For most of the team, which consists of 19 underclassmen, this was their first time competing on a national stage. This experience will allow them to grow more skills and become stronger for future competitions. For our seniors, they will take with them fond memories and leadership skills that they can apply to their future vocations.
Team members who competed include seniors Madalyn Bowman, Analiese Filler, Trinity Grace, and E. Kaylee Norris; junior Gabriella Daugherty; sophomores Kylee Applegate, Whitley Atkinson, Elliana Filler, Abigail Lowe, Josee Morales-Burke, Hannah Poore, Amanda Robinson, Mckenzie Stevens, Alliyah Stover, Jazmine Tibbs, Briley Tollett, Aubrey Vickers, and Macey Warner; and freshmen Madison Daniels, Mikayla Gagnon, K. Bailey Norris, Marlee Jo Poindexter, and Adelyn Speich.
