The Stone Memorial High School Lady Panthers and the Cumberland County High School Jets met in round one of the District 7AAA High School Basketball Tournament Friday at Tennessee Tech. The Lady Panthers recorded a 57-51 victory over the Lady Jets. SMHS advances to the District Semi-Finals Saturday at 7:00 as they play top-seeded White County at Tennessee Tech. The win also earns the Lady Panthers a berth in the Region Tournament. The Lady Jets end their season with a record of 17 wins and 9 losses. Boys
The Cumberland County High School Jets dropped their first round District Tournament game Friday falling to the White County High School Warriors 61-44. The Jets end their season with a 5 and 22 record. The SMHS Panthers will see their first tournament game Saturday afternoon at 5:30 in the Semi-Finals of the District Tournament at Tennessee Tech. Stone Memorial will meet Livingston Academy, the Wildcats posted a win over DeKalb County on Friday, 71-56. All the SMHS Panthers postseason action airs live on Mix 99.3.
