Five people died in a plane crash near I-40 East in Nashville on Monday. The single-engine plane went down just before 8pm, killing two adults and three children. They were reportedly from Canada. No one on the ground was injured. The plane was supposed to land at John C. Tune airport, however it flew over the airport. The plane doubled back and at some point the pilot reported having engine problems. The plane crashed about 600 feet from the interstate. The crash is still under investigation.
