Cumberland County School District Joins Over 30 Other TN School Districts in Social Media Lawsuit

The Cumberland County School District has joined over 30 others statewide in a lawsuit against social media companies like Meta, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Google, YouTube, and WhatsApp. The suit seeks more accountability and more protections for children.  According to WVLT,  Lewis Thomason attorney Chris McCarty said they are also seeking money for the damage these companies have caused.

On Thursday, March 21, 2024, Lewis Thomason provided Peg Broadcasting with the list of Tennessee school systems that have joined in the social media lawsuit thus far:
