A $2.5 million bond has been set for former Tennessee Titans scout Blaise Taylor who is accused of fatally poisoning his pregnant girlfriend last year.
Jade Benning, of Nashville, was rushed to the hospital by ambulance on the night of February 25, 2023, after Taylor called 911 and said Benning appeared to be having an allergic reaction. Benning was five-months pregnant with Taylor’s child. Benning’s medical condition immediately became critical. The unborn baby girl died on February 27, 2023. Benning died days later on March 6, which was her 25th birthday. Benning was not able to be interviewed by police before she died.
After months of investigation, Blaise Taylor, age 27, was arrested March 14, 2024 in Utah and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
The District Attorney is seeking life in prison without parole.
