Ohio police have fatally shot the man suspected of murdering his girlfriend in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee this week.

North Ridgeville Police held a press conference Thursday morning and said the White County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee notified them Wednesday night that the Flock camera system had pinged the license plate on a vehicle in North Ridgeville believed to be driven by homicide suspect 41-year-old Jason Norris.

North Ridgeville Police tracked the vehicle to the residence of Norris’ grandmother.  They say Norris came outside and exchanged gunfire with them. Norris was shot once and died Wednesday night.  No officers were injured.

The TBI said the body of 32-year-old Megan Campbell was found in a vehicle on Red Road just inside White County. The investigation into her death remains active and ongoing at this time.

North Ridgeville Police indicated Campbell had been shot and said they were gathering evidence and any weapons Norris had in his possession to assist the White County Sheriff’s Office investigation.

Police said Jason Norris’ grandmother and a cousin who was also at the residence had no knowledge that Norris was wanted for murder in Tennessee.
