Crews with the National Weather Service (NWS) began surveying storm damage in Middle Tennessee on Thursday and have confirmed and EF3 tornado in Maury County. The twister touched down in Columbia with winds of 140 mph. One person was killed and another injured.
An EF1 touched down in Robertson County, hammering Springfield with winds of 90 mph.
An EF0 twister in Rutherford County took down numerous trees as it tore through with winds of 80 mph. It was on the ground for about 3 miles and was 100 yards wide.
On Friday, NWS crews were surveying damage in Giles, Smith and Warren counties.
