Gov. Lee Signs Death Penalty Bill For Child Rape Convictions Into Law

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has signed into a law a bill that will allow the death penalty for aggravated child rape convictions despite the U.S. Supreme Court having previously ruled against capital punishment in such cases. The new law goes into effect on July 1 in Tennessee.
