Donations and sponsors are needed now for the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Youth Academy which will be held this June and July.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office hosts the Youth Academy every year for Cumberland County students in 4th through 12th grades. Over the course of three weeks and separated by grade levels, Sheriff’s Youth Academy cadets learn about law enforcement duties and the criminal justice system. Cadets also experience several different scenarios as a patrolman, S.W.A.T. member and an Investigator.
This countywide outreach program is only possible through donations and sponsorships from local citizens and businesses, which go to improve the curriculum and help pay for some children who would not normally be able to participate, to attend free of charge.
To make a donation, become a sponsor, or register for the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Youth Academy, please email Josh Parrigin at jparrigin@ccsheriffs.org or call the Sheriff’s Office at 931-484-6176. The Academy begins June 24, 2024 for High School students.
