A pilot and passenger were said to be okay after crashing Saturday morning at the Honor Flight Cruise and Fly In in Telford, Tennessee. The plane was reportedly attempting to land when it hit the top of a tree. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said two people were taken to a nearby hospital.
On their Facebook page, Honor Flight of the Appalachian Highlands said all spectators were safe and they were grateful for the first responders being there and the pilot doing his best to maintain control of his aircraft.
The event continued following the crash.
