In a special session on Tuesday, the Crossville City Council approved the 3rd reading of the fiscal year 2024-25 budget and tax rate. General fund expenditure estimates for the upcoming year are listed at $26.9 million against a revenue of $31.5 million, while projected water and sewer revenue is estimated at $10.5 million against expenditures of $9.6 million. Council also approved the rate for property taxes, it will remain at .6059 cents per $100 of taxable property. Water and sewer rates will see an increase with the council approving a 7 percent hike in a 3-1 vote.
