The Sports Authority of the City of Crossville held their first meeting Tuesday

The Sports Authority of the City of Crossville met for an organizational session on Tuesday.  The Authority elected Tracey Barnes as president and chairperson. Appointed to the seat of vice-president and vice-chair was Lou Morrison. Brock Hill was named as secretary and Rob Patton will assume the role of assistant secretary. Mark Moore was appointed as treasurer. Board members were also tasked with hiring a Municipal Advisor for issuing bonds. The local firm of Cumberland Securities, advisor to the county, and Larry Kidwell, who advises the City of Crossville, both made presentations. After much debate the authority voted to extend an offer for the services of Kidwell with fees not to exceed $200,000. In other matters, the authority approved a regular meeting time of 12 noon on the first Tuesday of each month, however July’s meeting will be held on July 9^th.
