The Cumberland County EMA, Cumberland Co. & Crossville Fire Departments, Fairfield Glade Police and Fire Departments will be conducting an emergency EXERCISE at the Good Samaritans Society in Fairfield Glade this morning (Thursday, June 20, 2024). This is an exercise, no need for concern. The exercise is expected to conclude at NOON today.
The Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency says exercises like this are conducted to ensure that all emergency response agencies have a chance to pre-plan for large scale emergencies and allow responders a chance to work together to formulate best practices for when a real emergency arises.
While there will be a heavy presence of emergency personnel, vehicles and equipment, there is no need for concern.
Motorists should avoid the area during this drill and make way for emergency crews going to and from the scene during this exercise.
