UPDATE! Second Suspect in Trooper Shooting Arrested After $20,000 Reward Offered

Update! The second suspect in the Friday night shooting of a THP Trooper in Cookeville has been captured.  The Tennessee Highway Patrol announced Monday night (7/22/2024) that Timothy L. Davis Jr. was arrested in  Davidson County and transported to the Putnam County jail.

The reward leading to the arrest of the shooter of Trooper Adam Cothron is now $20,000! Trooper Cothron was shot during a traffic stop Friday night in Cookeville. The passenger, Braze Rucker, is in custody. They were traveling in a White Kia Forte, which has been recovered.
